MTV killed the video star...

Can I just say what everyone else knows?
MTV Sucks!!!

Thank You. Now you can return to the previous page...

Or, you can continue reading why I believe they suck:

Since Spring Break 2000 the Music Television network has gone on a downward spiral. One thing that you see about the network's television schedule is the lack of music videos. The schedule has been overtaken by network produced series, most not even pertaining to music, unlike VH-1.

Most of these shows are much subpar and are not even close to the quality of their shows of the past (Beavis And Butthead, Sifl & Olly, Apt. 2F, The State.)

And where are the music shows? My favorite, 120 Minutes has only been shown once in over 4 months, and on that viewing the host sure did, in a clever way, show his disgust to the network on the letdown of the fellow 120 fans. AMP, which shows the latest in techno and dance is MIA. I was a great companion to follow 120 to make up a sweet Sunday Night block. What do they show in it's place? Rerun blocks of shows shown over and over. I WANT MY NEW MUSIC FIX!!!

Some of the things you will see on MTV:

Real World (wherever), and Road Rules.

These two are still on?!? Until when, when they do all the major cities? What i find funny is how CBS took the idea, twisted it a little, and then had the hottest show of Summer 2000.

Loveline.

Adam Corolla and Dr. Drew. They have been doing the show for sometime now.
Two things about it on MTV I dislike: They are better at it on the radio and they get more accomplished there, And even though I like Adam Corolla, there is such a thing as over-exposure. (c'mon 1-800-COLLECT)

The Tom Green Show.

Ack! He is horribly disgusting in virtually everything he does. He is a horrible version of Andy Kauffman and Andy was funny. Ok he is tolerable in Road Trip. Everything else he has been in and stuff he does on the show just plainfully sucks. Talk into a mic that has doo-doo? Wake someone up at 4am with Monica Lewinsky? Ask you're parents very intimate sexual questions? This is suppose to be funny??? If you want to watch someone get under peoples skin that is actually funny the turn over to Comedy Central and The Upright Citizens Brigade. It is well written as well.

TRL.

Wow an actual music show with an host that can't stand half of the guests. Oh they play music videos too! With a "Hey it's Dan from P-town! I just wanna say hi to all my friends watching and vote for the new Limp Bizkit song because it is rad!" Ummm ooooookkkkaaaayyyy.

Undressed.

Hmmm, the closest thing to the Playboy Channel. Hormonally challenged prefect looking youths dealing with sex. They push the envelope in the soap opera and almost all the time you will see the cast in their cute sexy undies. Where was this when I was 14??? Ok getting back to the show, the story lines are pretty lame, step brother and sister wanting to get it on, a cute girl agonizing because the man of her dreams is in a wheelchair, and plenty of other sexual dysfunctions. The show is just like the cast, attractive but shallow. And it has nothing to do with music.

Finally the music.

When there is music showing, usually during the very early part of the morning, you get a fix of Britney, Christina, Eminen, Will, Sisquo, etc.
If I want new U2, Barenaked Ladies, Moby, or any artisits like that, I just go over to VH-1.

Thanks for reading.

To wrap it up: I want my MTV2!

P.S. Bring back Sifl & Olly!!!
